High performance driving features.

Just like in a video game, the i20 N allows you to switch driving mode at the touch of a button. Choose from six individual drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, N, N Custom 1 and 2 settings to perfectly match the road or driving conditions. In custom mode you decide the drive, saving your specs for engine response, steering feedback – rev matching, stability control and exhaust sound level. It’s your drive with your specific settings.

The all-new i20 N comes in five exterior colours including the N signature Performance Blue livery, exclusive to Hyundai N models, and an optional Phantom Black roof for a two-toned style. Bold coloured accents further emphasise Hyundai’s motorsport DNA.

Variable exhaust with chrome tip.

The single-outlet active variable exhaust has three settings, allowing the driver to select the ideal level of exhaust sound for the conditions – keep it subdued around town or allow the engine’s full vocal range to be enjoyed when the open road beckons. In Sports+, the throttle lifts and downshifts bring a thrilling volley of rasping crackles and pops that have to be heard to be appreciated.

Rally car inspired, the Active variable exhaust system opens in different stages rising from relatively restrained in Normal mode to a crackling ‘after-burn’ growl in N mode.

The i20 N has been designed inside and out for maximum driving fun. This includes six performance functions: Eco, Normal, Sport, N, N Custom 1 and 2 settings to match driving preferences and road conditions, to deliver an exhilarating drive.

The drive modes adjust the parameters of the engine, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), exhaust sound and steering in order to optimise them for a variety of driving conditions.

Carve the corners.

With reinforced chassis, M-LSD, McPherson front strut suspension and wrapped in a lightweight package, the i20 N is an agile corner carving rascal. Its mechanical limited-slip differential sends the engine power precisely to each wheel where it needs so that you can minimise understeer and exit the corner faster, constantly reminding you you’re driving something truly unique.

The track-ready suspension features reinforced front struts and knuckles with adjusted geometry. This includes increased camber for better traction and five fixation points for the wheel as well as a new anti-roll bar, new springs and shock absorbers for maximum driving fun.

Automatic Rev Matching.

Automatic rev-matching helps you get the most out of the short-throw six-speed manual. Further enhancing the experience, the driver can activate the rev matching button on the steering wheels to allow smoother or sporter downshifts depending on what drive mode is engaged.

The all-new i20 N is small but mighty. The latest generation 1.6-litre turbocharged engine delivers a maximum output of 150kW, a maximum torque of 304Nm between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm using the overboost, and a maximum power between 5,500 and 6,000rpm.

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW)

At speeds of 20 km/h and above, a car with Blind-Spot Collision Warning uses rear radar sensors to scan for vehicles driving in the driver’s ‘blind spot’. If it detects a vehicle, it alerts the driver with a lamp on each respective side mirror. If the driver then proceeds to activate the indicator lights or starts to make a lane change, a visual warning flashes and an alert is sounded.

Driver Attention Warning System.

This feature analyses a driver’s on-road actions for signs of fatigue or otherwise unsafe driving. If the system senses inattentive driving patterns or frequent steering corrections, an audible sound and alert on the display panel will bring this to the driver’s attention.

Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA).

The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system, when active, utilises the windscreen-mounted camera to detect and monitor vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists in front of the i20 N. FCA works in conjunction with the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) to sound a warning chime and displays a visual alert, if the system thinks a collision is likely. It can also automatically apply the vehicle’s brakes if it detects a potential collision ahead.

High Beam Assist (HBA)

While you’re driving with your high beam headlight on, High Beam Assist is automatically scanning the road ahead. If it detects an oncoming vehicle, it will automatically dim your headlamps to low beam.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)

Lane Keeping Assist system consists of two modes – Lane Departure Warning (LDW) mode, and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) mode. At speeds of 60 km/h or above, LDW uses the windshield mounted camera to detect lane markings and road edges, and monitors the vehicle’s position in the lane. Should the vehicle stray from the intended lane without indicators being activated, an audible and visual warning will be sounded. LKA can be active at speeds of 60 km/h or above where lane marking can be detected. LKA helps prevent the vehicle from straying from the lane by providing steering intervention should the driver not react to warnings from the LDW system.

Lane Following Assist (LFA).

This electronic safety system uses a vehicle’s windshield-mounted camera to detect lane markings on the road to monitor its position in a lane. If the vehicle strays from its lane without its indicators being activated, an audible and visual warning will sound to alert the driver.

Rear Occupant Alert (ROA).

This system monitors the vehicle’s rear doors opening and closing so nothing is accidentally left behind the i20 N. When the driver stops the engine and opens their door to exit, ROA will display a “Check rear seats” warning message in the supervision cluster.
